About the job

We are seeking skilled SRE’s and DevOps engineers to join our professional services team. If you have architecture, design and operations experience in Kubernetes and Cloud Native tools and technologies or similar we would like to meet you. The role within Professional Services demands a high level of technical expertise and knowledge in the cloud native domain and customer-facing soft skills. .

What you’ll be doing:

The core attribute of this role is a passion for delivering consulting projects to our customers and partners. Working with customers in areas such as Finance, Telecom and Retail sectors, you will bring your years of experience and our Weaveworks tools and technologies to enable customers to meet their goals. The team is highly technical, with a balance of production experience and working with open-source tools and technologies, the right tools for the right application.

  • Perform discovery of customer requirements and goals of the consulting engagement to include assessment of readiness and follow-on design.

  • Work with customers architecting Kubernetes solutions both in the cloud and on-premise.

  • Architect and implement end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles.

  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines

  • Provide understanding of GitOps methodologies and Technologies to customers and partners during consulting engagements.

  • Lead a proactive approach to delivery of consulting engagements, based on GitOps and Cloud Native technologies and Weaveworks methodologies.

  • Strive to provide the right solutions and technologies for our customers that benefit both them and us.

  • Collaborate across the organization, with your peers in customer success and engineering

We're looking for

  • Have extensive open-source work experience within a cloud native practice.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud native tools and technologies (Certified Kubernetes Administrator CKA a big plus)

  • Solid working knowledge with Terraform and Helm Charts

  • Solid working experience with Git-based solutions such as GitHub and GitLab

  • Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and practices

  • Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef and/or Puppet)

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, TCP, UDP, load balancing, etc.)

  • Previous startup experience

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills


It would be a bonus if you:


  • Have prior experience working in open-source projects

  • Proven at-scale operations experience as an SRE and DevOps engineer

  • Written and verbal German, Portuguese, or French communication skills a plus
