Bio

Simana, originally comes from Kolkata, has been living in London since 2003.  She started her career as an engineer 22+ years ago and has been in leadership roles for the past 10 years. She has experience in various domains including risk and compliance, data and analytics, media and charity.

Previously Simana held roles at ComplyAdvantage and LexisNexis Risk Solutions group before joining SumUp.  At SumUp she is responsible for enabling everyone to build a profitable business by preventing and mitigating risk, fraud, financial crime and addressing regulatory compliance, with smart, global, and automated solutions built using machine learning and AI.

Simana is extremely passionate about women in technology and strongly believes leadership is a privilege and opportunity which she will use to support more women - especially in the technology sector. 

Simana is a member of the invitation-only Forbes Technology Council - a community for world-class CIOs, CTOs, and technology executives. She has also won the John Caples Bronze award for best use of creative technology and is a dedicated speaker at various industry events.
