Architecting for Outcomes

Abstract

Simon Rohrer, Head of Enterprise Technology Architecture and Ways of Working at Saxo Bank has spent his career advocating for modern ways of working, with roles in hands on software engineering, agile coaching with a focus on technical excellence, and senior roles in enterprise architecture and strategy. In “Architecting for Outcomes”, he’ll share some of his learnings over the last few years in radically modernising approaches to the principles and practices of Enterprise Architecture by incorporating concepts from DevOps, eXtreme Programming, Continuous Delivery, Systems Thinking, Team Topologies, Project to Product and more - all to achieve practical business value while delivering longer term architecture and organisation transformation. Simon contributed a chapter on this topic and the broader topic of technical excellence to Jonathan Smart’s IT Revolution Press book, Sooner Safer Happier
